Volunteers Needed

The next phase of work on the tower floors is fast approaching.  For two weeks starting 8th September Peter Hayward and Blyth & Co will be here to finish the tower floors and do the preparations for the new bell frame.

Please could you look at the rota [shown below] and get back to me as soon as possible with what you can offer. Anything we provide will help our money go further towards getting the bells back. We made a great team last time, so let’s try for the same.

We need:

  • Someone to take charge of the rota (i.e. liaising and allocating people to tasks so we have volunteers helping every day e.g. lunch provided every day).
  • Labour (including light work with dustpan and brush!).
  • Accommodation (I can only put up one person because our other spare room will be occupied by a marine biologist doing a survey with Francis).
  • Lunches, coffee, milk, cake (tea has already been promised).
  • Church minders (we may keep the church locked but it would be useful to have someone to mind the door and make teas etc even  if it is locked)
  • Evening meals.
