Rainwater Pouring Into Tower

    Water Intrusion - Action Needed

Repair The Tower, Save The Bells!

Rainwater pouring into the tower over many many years is the cause of the rusted bellframe. Unfortunately, the situation continues without any plans for repair. Without urgently addressing this water intrusion, the money raised and spent to rehang the new bells and install the English Oak ceiling (a requirement by the Faculty) is in jeopardy. For example, just days after installation, the new ceiling was saturated, boards were swelling, buckling, and had to be removed to prevent further damage. Ringers stand in puddles of water while ringing. Mats and carpets cannot be placed on the floor. Wood paneling is rotting. This is not an environment that will attract new bellringing recruits, they will turn and leave. Repair for the leaking tower is the responsibility of the Church and the Faculty. Please raise your voice and let authorities know the severity of this problem.
